KREI Selected as Outstanding Research Institute

The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI, President Kim Changgil) received the Outstanding Research Institute Award at the award ceremony of the 2017 research institute evaluation results held by the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences (NRC) on May 28, 2018. 

Each year, the NRC evaluates the research results and management of 26 national policy research institutes through 12 indicators, such as the excellence of policy research results and contributions to policy formulation. As a result of comprehensive evaluation, KREI was selected as the outstanding research institute both last year and this year. Particularly, KREI was designated as an excellent case of the diffusion of research results.

In addition to institute evaluation, KREI gained great distinction in research results. “Development Strategies for the Companion Animal Industry” received an Outstanding Research Report Award, and “Employment Status of Foreign Workers in Agriculture and Policy Tasks” won an Award for Project with Excellent Policy Outcomes.

With this, KREI has been selected as the best/outstanding research institute for six consecutive years since it was chosen as the best research institute in 2012.
