International Workshop on Economic Assessment of Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation to Be Held The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) will hold an International Workshop on the “Economic Assessment of Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation” in the main conference room on KREI’s first floor from 1:30 p.m., Nov. 6 (Mon.). In the event, participants will discuss the impact of climate change on the global agricultural sector, response methods, and the economic assessment of them. The first session, “Global Impact of Climate Change and Our Challenges,” consists of presentations of experts from the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). In the second session, “Economic Assessment of Adaptation Activities,” specialists at KREI and Wageningen Economic Research in the Netherlands will each make a presentation. In the third session, “Challenges and Improvement for the Economic Assessment of Climate Change Issues,” discussants and the audience will discuss the improvement of the economic evaluation of climate change mitigation and adaptation, with KREI President Kim Changgil as a moderator. |
