Background and Purpose
○2020 marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Mongolia. More than one percent of its population resides in Korea for various reasons.
○This study aims to analyze the status of the country’s agriculture and rural sectors, including the sectors’ development strategies. Based on the results of our analysis, this study suggests development cooperation with Mongolia for its progress in the agriculture and forestry industries.
Research Methodology
○We reviewed various literature, statistics, and databases related to development cooperation for our research. Amid travel restrictions due to the COVID-19, we commissioned on-site research to local experts, members of the Mongolia-Korea Rural Development Administration Alumni National Association (MongKoRAA). The two subjects we requested are grain storage and forest development.
