[Pakistan] Agricultural Status and Policy in Pakistan

In Pakistan, agriculture has been steadily declining for more than half a century, and agricutlrue sector is about 21% of GDP today. However, agriculture is still the largest industry, with 66% of the population as a livelihood source and the main driver of economic growth. Nonetheless, the level of food security in Pakistan is very low. In order to solve these food security problems, the Pakistani government is launching Pakistan 's national development strategy' vision 2025 'in 2014 in order to pursue healthy and hungry Pakistan. In this article, it examine the current status and policies of agriculture in Pakistan.
