
Objectives
A joint research team-consisted of experts from the KREI and sectoral advisors, related ministries and research institutes from partner countries, and experts from international organizations and private-sector perform socio-economic research for identifying the current status of agricultural and rural development in the partner country, aiming at shaping potential ODA programs and projects, drawing institutional and technical implications, enhancing partner countries’ analytic skills for policy research.
The topic of the joint research is selected in which Korea has a comparative advantage while responding to the needs of the partner countries. The role of partner countries and the international experts is to analyze the topic of the research by collecting data and performing interviews with related stakeholders. The experts from the KREI and sectoral advisors provide technical support and advice to the partner countries and deliver lessons from Korea’s experiences on the topic.
The materials and data collected through joint research will be used as baseline data for setting up policies in the partner country’s related fields and planning evidence-based ODA programs and projects.

Joint Research Report, Project Results Report, ODA Project Concept Paper (PCP) The areas of joint research cover various issues in agricultural sector and arealigned with the Korean ODA Model in the farming and rural development sectors. The Korea ODA Model describes each public sector’s policy experiences fortheir effective transfer to developing countries in the process of ODA programs and projects for policymakers and instructors.
