요약문

에티오피아는 우리나라의 중점협력국가로서 농림축산식품부 등 여러 부처에서 개발협력사업을 추진해 오고 있다. 특히 농업 분야 개발협력사업의 중장기적인 목표, 중점 추진 분야와 전략이 수립될 필요가 있다. 이 연구는 에티오피아의 농산업 현황과 농업가치사슬을 분석하고, 에티오피아의 국가개발 전략 및 국제사회와 우리나라의 개발협력 전략을 고려한 對에티오피아 농업 분야의 개발협력 전략을 제시하고 수립하는 데 기여하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

Background of Research
○Ethiopia is Korea's major partner country in which various ministries, including the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, have been promoting development cooperation projects. In particular, it is necessary to establish mid- to long-term goals, key areas and strategies for development cooperation projects in the agricultural sector. The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status of Ethiopia's agricultural sector and value chain, and to establish and present Ethiopia's agricultural development cooperation strategy in accordance with national development strategies of Ethiopia and development cooperation strategies of Korea and the international community.

Method of Research
○This study used materials such as Ethiopia's national development strategy, Ethiopia's agricultural and rural strategy, Korea's key cooperation fields, and statistical data to derive measures to support Ethiopia's agricultural sector.

○We commissioned the Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR), a cooperation institute for this study, to analyze Ethiopia's agricultural value chain. An online survey was conducted on 19 Ethiopian officials and related experts between 27 June 2022 and 8 August 2022. From the results, we derived the importance of Ethiopia's agricultural value chain, the importance and recommendations of the program in the 'Korean ODA Model in the Agricultural Sector'.
