The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) implemented the visiting program for Ugandan public officials on June 30 as part of the KAPEX (Korean Agricultural Policy Experiences for Food Security) program. Ten high-level public officials related to livestock production including the chairman of the board of Uganda’s NAADS (National Agricultural Advisory Services) attended the training whose theme was “Livestock Farming and Management: Focusing on the Dairy Industry.”

This program passes on Korea’s agricultural policy experiences and know-how through an introduction to livestock policy and on-site lectures with a focus on the dairy sector until July 4. The training is expected to be an important opportunity to devise customized action plans of livestock development policy that fit Uganda’s conditions and demand and to strengthen the ability to implement agricultural policy.
