Korean Rural Economic Institutes(KREI) nominated Dr. Seung Kyu Min, a former Vice President of Samsung Economic Research Institutes as a Research & Management Advisor of the KREI.
 

Dr. Min, who was appointed as KREI’s new advisor for the next two years, earned his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics at The University of Tokyo, and worked as a Research Director at Samsung Economic Research Institutes. He served as a Presidential Secretary for Agriculture and Fishery of Executive Office of the President from 2008, a Vice Minister of Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MIFAFF) from 2009, and an Administrator of Rural Development Administration (RDA) from 2010. He was a Vice President at Samsung Economic Research Institutes for previous two years.
 

His main tasks in KREI include strategic research proposal and participation in the projects with full use of experiences in the field as well as consultation on research agenda and organizational administration.

Dr. Min is also expected to launch various cooperative studies with academic and industries, contributing to practical suggestions for agricultural policy research.
