KREI holds the third debate on rural innovation and the future KREI hosted the third debate session for rural innovation and the future under the topic of farmers’ economic stability and policy tasks for income support. The session was held on November 17 and broadcast live online. After the first and second sessions in September, the third debate had presentations and discussions on direct payments, farm households’ grants, and farm accident insurance to prepare alternative measures to stabilize farm business and income. KREI researchers Ryu Chan-hui and Kim Mi-bok gave presentations under the topics of “Direct Income Support for Farmers: Issues and Tasks,” and “Agricultural Accident Insurance and Farm Business Stability,” respectively. Following their presentations, KREI President Kim Hong-sang hosted a debate in which participants shared opinions on income supports and farm business stability. |
