The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) held the first KREI Distinguished Scholar Seminar by inviting Distinguished Professor Whang Yoonjae at Seoul National University to KREI.

The KREI Distinguished Scholar Seminars aim to share domestic and foreign eminent scholars’ expertise regarding the agricultural, rural and food economy and policies and contribute to coming up with domestic agrifood policy alternatives through academic information exchanges.

KREI President Han Doobong said, “KREI will provide up-to-date academic information helpful to Korean agricultural policy by actively utilizing the global network of prominent figures in the fields of agricultural, rural and food policies and related research.”
