12th World Congress of Rural Sociology Brings World’s Top Sociologists to Korea for Five Day Symposium
The 12th World Congress of Rural Sociology will kick off its five-day conference on July 7 under the theme of “Envisioning a Prosperous Rural Future in a Globalizing World.”
The Korea Rural Economic Institute, which is commemorating its 30th anniversary this year, will host the international meeting jointly with the Korea Rural Sociological Society at KINTEX in Goyang right next to the northwestern outskirts of Seoul.
A total of 450 papers are submitted for the conference and nearly 400 sociologists from home and abroad will take part in 38 working groups and over 80 sessions to look into problems in agriculture and rural areas and find new directions for growth.
