The current situation of Vietnam is comparatively similar to South Korea in the 1980s when rural development have already achieved significant results. The matters should be cared for now are how to sustain the progress, develop off-farm jobs in the rural areas, avoid increasing income inequality, and limit overly rapid urbanization. Then this paper will also attempt to analyze Korea case regarding these issues and draw some necessary lessons. |
