On December 3, the Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Institute of Agricultural Planning and Projection (NIAPP) of Vietnam to provide assistance in the country’s planning of agricultural development.
The consulting project, which was launched under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, will provide educational services to staff members of the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and NIAPP, and related researchers at various institutions including universities.
With an aim to elevate capabilities to set up development plans for rural areas in Vietnam, the project will carry out comprehensive consulting services for five months in the shaping of implementation plans for rural development. These consulting services include rural area analyses and the grasping of development needs in pilot project areas in Vietnam.
