The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) held a kick-off meeting for the year 2017 in the main conference room on January 2. In his New Year's address, KREI President Kim Changgil announced three key plans to realize KREI's vision, "a global agricultural policy research institute leading the sustainable future of agriculture and rural communities," and make a leap forward. The plans are as follows: establishment of the new government's agricultural policy and substantial research; creation of a convergence research ecosystem through the strengthening of domestic and international networks; and KREI in high spirits through communication and harmony. President Kim emphasized that KREI employees should unite, sharing the vision and goals for the development of the institute and communicating to accomplish the plans. He also encouraged the staff to "make KREI exemplary and in high spirits with all staff members' great resolution in 2017." |
